Chiropractor Benson NC
Welcome to Crossroads Wellness & Rehab in Benson, your go-to resource for chiropractic care, massage therapy, and Physical Rehab in McGee's Crossroads. Our Benson chiropractor, Dr. Ryan Williams, is a trusted provider of natural, non-invasive health and wellness solutions for Benson, Angier, Four Oaks, Smithfield, 40/42 Area, Garner, Clayton, and surrounding areas. Whether you're struggling with a painful musculoskeletal trauma or you'd like to maintain your best possible state of health for years to come, you'll find that our team can play a key role in your ongoing quest for a higher quality of life.
As you may be all too aware, the human body is prone to a wide range of threats and ailments, from chronic back pain or headaches to acute damage from an automobile collision, sports injury, or personal injury. Some problems may even lurk silently for years, growing steadily more severe until pain and other symptoms suddenly appear. An undiagnosed, untreated spinal subluxation (misalignment) can contribute to a variety of other problems such as degenerative joint conditions, pinched nerves, herniated discs, and chronic muscular strain. Dulling the symptoms with painkillers isn't a real solution because it does nothing to stop the problem at its source -- but major surgery is a drastic measure that may not even be necessary.
Our conservative treatment methods can tackle a wide range of health challenges by correcting the underlying causes, bringing out natural, non-pharmaceutical pain relief in the process. For instance, chiropractic adjustment can correct even longstanding alignment problems that may be producing back pain, neck pain, headaches, or tingling and numbness in the extremities.
But chiropractic care is just one aspect of our "whole body" approach to health and wellness. We also offer massage to relieve soft tissue pain and muscle tightness while enhancing your body's natural healing powers. If you play sports, massage can help you stay in top condition, rehab a soft tissue injury or prepare for important events. Physical rehab, including laser therapy, ultrasound, decompression traction, and electric muscle stimulation, can provide drug-free pain relief while helping you recover from an injury or cope with a chronic health condition. For example, laser therapy penetrates the skin harmlessly to relieve tissue pain and inflammation while accelerating cellular healing processes.
Welcome to Crossroads Wellness and Rehab
Chiropractic care is the practice of using spinal alignment to alleviate a wide variety of physical ailments, including muscle strain, neck pain, chronic back pain, and more. This is accomplished by adjusting the position of the spinal column to its proper shape, providing a non-invasive solution for pain relief.

THE HISTORY OF CHIROPRACTIC CARE
The word “Chiropractic” is derived from the Greek words “cheir” (hand) and “praktos” (done) combined to mean “done by hand.” It was chosen by the developer of chiropractic care, Daniel David Palmer. In 1895, D.D. Palmer performed a chiropractic adjustment on a partially deaf janitor, Harvey Lillard, who later reported that his hearing had improved due to the change.
D.D. Palmer opened the first chiropractic school two years later, and in the century since, chiropractic professionals have used spinal adjustments to help people prevent and cope with back pain, carpal tunnel, muscle strain, headaches and migraines, and a variety of other physical ailments. Millions of people benefit from the work of Dr. Palmer today.
What Kind of Training Does a Chiropractor Have?
Chiropractic doctors go through a minimum of four years of schooling at a chiropractic college, generally preceded by an undergraduate degree in the basic sciences or several years of experience in a prior relevant health care field.
Students of chiropractic care must spend a minimum of at least 4,200 hours with their teacher, and a minimum of 1,000 hours of fully supervised clinical training with an instructor as they learn the appropriate diagnosis and treatment techniques to help heal your body and restore it to its natural, fully functioning state.
At Crossroads Wellness and Rehab our chiropractic team is ready to meet with you to discuss your needs. We will help to design a program that is right for you. We look forward to meeting you.
